Reasons to love it – and reasons not to

The location is prime, just steps from the beach and many activities. I appreciated the accommodating and friendly staff during my stay.

The Rus Mar Motel had some positives but also quite a few drawbacks. The location is decent, just a bit of a walk from the Boardwalk and close to bike rentals, which made getting around easy. Only three pillows were provided, and one was hardly usable. I had to call room service to clean the tables and change the sheets, which were dirty. Even after cleaning, one table was still sticky and not up to standard. The motel had an old vibe that felt more shabby than charming. I noticed a musty smell when I entered the room, and the floors were gritty with sand. The coffee pot was filthy and hadn't been cleaned from the last guest. I worried about bedbugs but was relieved to find there were none. However, the sheets had visible stains that made me uncomfortable. The TV didn't work at first, which took some time for the staff to fix. Overall, it served its purpose for a place to crash after a long day but left me wishing for better cleanliness and maintenance. The experience could have been better with a little more attention to detail.

Had a really chill time here! The family running the place was super friendly and always made sure we had what we needed. The location is awesome, just a hop away from the beach! Also, loved that there’s a dog park nearby. Just wish the wifi was better—kinda spotty at times.
